BP stands for The Big Picture. This is a compatibility mod that allows to integrate most of the currently existing large mods as well as several smaller mods into one giant game. BP is an active ongoing project with the overall goal of making as many mods compatible with each other as possible.

BGT stands for Baldur's Gate Trilogy. It allows you to play Baldur's Gate, Tales of the Sword Coast, Shadows of Amn, and Throne of Bhaal as one game. The one major change in the story line is that you must finish BG1 (killing Sarevok) before starting TotSC. When you finish TotSC you move on to SoA with all your party as you last had them. Two will die if they are still alive and the rest will either come with you or go on to Amn.
