As part of SHS’ 12 Days of Christmas, we decided it was time for us to upgrade our forum software and give our forums a new look. IPB v3 comes with a slew of new and improved features, the most important of which are outlined in the thread below. A quick note is that the sub-forums will once return their vertically-placed selves later in the week. We are still ironing out problems and bugs, so if you find anything strange please report it here!
Download Manager Note
Unfortunately, due to a complication with the Download Manager, SHS’ downloads will not be available for the next few days. My sincere apologies for this, it is the worst possible time for it to happen with 12 days going on! As a result, 12 days is on pause until the DM comes back online. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Check out the new board features and the new look here!

In furtherance of some suggestions made by a number of modders here at SHS, we’ve deprecated the Infinity Xplorer 2008 forum into the larger IE Modding Tools forum, as well as created a new download category in the download manager for tools. Much like Miscellaneous Mods, any member can upload tools to the category. You can find the forum here, and the download category here.
I’d also like to point out that Miloch has released a tool called the “BAM Batcher”, created to make the process of creating and organising BAMs simpler. It is a very useful tool, so if you’re interested in BAM creation, go check it out!
Finally, I’ve added [Downloads] links to the Misc Mods, IE Modding Tools and Mod Resurrections forum descriptions for ease of downloading.
Cheers!

After almost 2 years of hard work as a Staff member, legendary BGT modder Ascenion64 has decided to step down. As well as being a general moderator, Ascension64 ran the very successful IE Modding Digests, which are sadly now being retired. A huge thank you to him for spending the time every 2 weeks to put those together!
Thanks for your dedication, hard work and all-around awesomeness, Asc, and all the best!
A warm welcome to Lava Del’Vortel and his quest mod “Tales of the Deep Gardens”, an intriguing and mysterious addition to Baldur’s Gate II!
“The last thing you remember is a mage on the streets of Athkatla, the building of the Council of Six, the trees and mansions of the Goverment District. Now you feel only humid air and cold ground… You try to open your eyes, but you are not sure if your senses are to be believed. You are barely able to recognise shapes around you… Crooked trees, bantam buildings, colourful mists… Your head aches. It is impossible for you to focus… Suddenly, you realise something. You hear voices and footsteps… You are not alone in this unknown place.”
Tales of the Deep Gardens allows players to travel through a new land, deep under Faerun; a realm of mystery, dream, Colourful Essences and riddles. Talk to people who may not even see you, try to find the answers to obscure riddles, fight with Living Colours and gather 10 Colours to leave the Gardens. But remember, Dreamer, that this place is something more than just a chain of caves… It may be a Dream you’ll not want to wake up from…
