Just to let everyone know in advance, there might be some downtime to come in the next few days, as the SHS host will be redistributing a large number of web hosting accounts to a fleet of new servers. As you might expect, this redistribution will result in highly increased website performance and speed (and maybe the sql error we’ve been seeing so often might occur less frequently...).

It will take approximately three days to complete the redistributions for all servers, and the host will begin the process mid-to-late next week. I’ve been assured that they have taken every precaution to ensure that downtime from these migrations is minimized, however we can probably expect to experience a minor outage as a result of the move.

As of this moment, the new SHS main page - as well as a new forum look - have been introduced. This is the result of a bit of sweat from March4, who have worked hard to finally replace the “temporary” website design which has been up for 11 months now…

You can see the new website just by reading this. Much of the content and basic layout is the the same as before, but the design has been enhanced a bit.

The forum also looks a bit different. Two new skins - Asylum and Slayer - have made their way to the forums. The forums are also made by March4. The old skin, unimaginatively named “SHS 2.1” is still available as an optional alternative for everyone. You can switch skins by using the drop-down menu at the bottom-left of the board.

Of course, if anyone finds any bugs or other issues with the new skin(s) or main site, please post them here.

Other feedback are naturally appreciated, as well!

SHS is proud to announce yet another addition to our still growing number of hosted mods, namely the Illyria Relationship Mod by K’aeloree and friends.

The mod is still heavy in development, but rich content and intriguing storylines are promised!

As some of you might already have noticed, there’s been a new forum called “Yovaneth’s Scripts” up for a while. It’s naturally Yovaneth’s different scripts for BG I and II as well as IWD I and II which now have their own forum here at Spellhold Studios.
