Hi everyone,
After several years of portrait making and other graphical assistance to the modding community, Sol-Ek-Sa as an organization and forum will be discontinued shortly. It has been a great help to many modders, but has lately been inactive and its leader, khayman, decided not to continue working with SES in its current form.
Instead, SES will be superceded by another resource, which will be revealed very soon. In the meantime, the SES forum will disappear.
We urge everyone to save any information and artwork within the next 2 days; after that SES will be taken down. Very little will survive and remain in public view. If you don’t save everything you would have liked to, feel free to contact K’aeloree or myself and we will do our best to find it for you.

I apologise for the downtime over the last few hours today, we were having some problems with the server, which have since been fixed by the indomitable SConrad. Fingers crossed we won’t have such a problem again!
The Rogue Rebalancing mod is a gameplay modification for Baldur’s Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal. This mod strives to bring the Rogue classes (Bards and Thieves) and their respective kits closer to their Pen and Paper 2E AD&D incarnations. In so far, Rogue Rebalancing will restore proper dual-wielding skills to Bards and Thieves, revise some of the Bard and Thief kits and their respective high level abilities, add more items useful for Rogues to the game, enhance the Shadow Thief opponents which the player faces while siding with Bodhi in chapter 2 and introduce a new challenging encounter with a party of Cyric’s Chosen in chapter six. Some of the introduced changes will be applied immediately, but for best results you should start a new game after installing this mod. More detailed descriptions of all mod components can be found in the documentation section of the Rogue Rebalancing website.
New in v3.6:
This revision adds difficulty level scaling to the Chosen of Cyric encounter and the Shadow Thief improvements, improves compatibility with other BG2 mods (especially BGT and BGTuTu), corrects several errors which were present in v3.5 and adds a number of small improvements, optimizations and tweaks to the AI scripts of all characters and creatures which are a part of the Rogue Rebalancing mod. A full list of changes and additions is available here. As always, it is recommended to completely uninstall any old versions of this mod before installing the latest revision.
You can check out the mod’s homepage here, download version 3.6 here, and check out the forum here!
After a seeming forever of promised releases, Iylos is now publically available for download!
Iylos is a Throne of Bhaal only NPC from Amkethran; a serious and angry man at first glance, Iylos has an ironic, slightly twisted sense of humour which doesn’t exactly fit with one’s general idea of a monk. He has 2-3 banters with each NPC, interjections, a developed friendship track as well as several scenery dialogues and an extensive PID menu which includes a chatpack and flirtpack, all of which are optional in the install. He is voiced by Bob ‘TheWizard’ Dupois, and has crossmod banters with several mod NPCs including: Solaufein, Kelsey and Kivan & Deheriana, as well as several NPCs for whom ToB content is under development.
When he joins the party, he makes no pretences of friendship, and bluntly tells you he was sent to find out your intentions. He will not join an evil character, and will not be in a party with a bad reputation for very long.
I apologise to those who have been waiting for him! And please note that this is a beta version, so there may be bugs. I have tested it fairly solidly, but it’s never possible to eradicate everything - so if you do find any bugs, please post them on the forum! :)
