I would like to welcome SConrad back as SHS Administrator. He’s been aiding us from the sidelines for the past couple of months, and with the recent growth of SHS, his invaluable knowledge and experience prompted me to persuade him to come back and help from an official position. I’m certain he will do a great job!

Hi everyone,
With the addition of our new Oblivion section here on SHS (has anyone managed to miss it? ;) ), activity here on the forums has really rocketed! This is great, of course, but has also resulted in a demand for some additions to our staff.
I would therefore like to welcome Hector the Hooded, SeV and Spike4072 as SHS Moderators! They have all been large parts of the Oblivion community here, and have really helped out in the smooth transition to SHS. I am fully confident that they’ll continue to do an excellent job here!
On the same note, I also wish to welcome Kaelis Ebonrai as a new Global Moderator. He has proved himself invaluable to the Oblivion section on SHS, and his already great work will only get better as he now gets more responsibility.
So, a big cheer for all them! Let the Oblivion party continue! :D

First and foremost, I’d like to welcome Kaelis Ebonrai to the staff, who will be, with the help of Ilmatar and several others, working with the new forum sections - so a big hug to him. Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of moderation! ;)
So what’s this all about? Well, Spellhold Studios is gaining a new wing… it’s down the corridoor, to the right - I’d recommend going and checking it out! Some may have noticed the Oblivion sections in the Download Manager, and we now have forums corresponding to those for discussion and help. We also have new Oblivion Modding forums, and while they’re a little bare at the moment, they won’t be for long!
A new feature here at SHS for Oblivion Modders is ‘personal’ forums - if you have a number of good-quality mods up for download here at SHS, and would like a forum for troubleshooting, help and discussion, all you have to do is sent a private message to me (K’aeloree) with details about your mods and why you would like a forum, and I’ll send an application in to the Staff for you.
So are you an Oblivion Modder? A player? A die-hard fan? I’d like to personally welcome you to Spellhold Studios, and I hope you’ll have a wonderful time here!
The Fanfiction Challenge is a monthly challenge hosted at Spellhold Studios. Each month a topic will be provided and writers are challenged to come up with a story or stories that fit the topic. Story length or quantity is not limited by an “at least”, or “no more than” so whether itââ¬â¢s 10 words or 10,000 (kudos) it will be accepted.
We hope you have fun writing, and working with themes you might never have otherwise. The fanfiction challenge is as hard or as easy as you want it to be - but keep in mind that the more you put in, the more you get out, so if you have some extra moments to go over what you’ve written or write something extra, I would fully suggest that you do it, if only for your own satisfaction of a job well done. ;)
Go Check the SHS Fanfiction Challenge Forum out here!
The first challenge is called “Me and My Crazy Friends”, and centres around the inhabitants of Spellhold. We all have a different take on our brief stay with the all-seeing Aphril and Naljier, the changing Dili, the former warden Wanev, the dog-fearing Dradeel, and of course the Gnome who will rule the world, Tiax. But how did they end up there, how did they receive their curses, and if they did live, would they ever find a cure or a way to live on?

I’d like to unveil the New SHS Download Centre!
Part one of three large additions and improvements to SHS (the second and third of which will be coming soon), the Download Centre is a big improvement on our previous system, and attempts to remedy the problems faced by modders and staff when uploading new mods, as well as provide a much easier (and secure) way of accessing and tracking downloads!
The new system doesn’t support direct downloads, but makes use of a new system devised by SConrad () to link users to downloads, such as: http://downloads.spellholdstudios.net/btl rather than the elongated link of http://forums.spellholdstudios.net/index.p...&showcat=15 which makes linking to and downloading files much simpler.
An enormous thank you to SConrad, who stuck with me all of this week to get this ready, installed the software and created the system of download linking, as well as provided suggestions, and then finally spending hours upon hours linking author to file. Also thanks to theacefes, who helped me with adding some of the downloads to the Download Centre!
And finally, a big thank you to the Staff, who supported and dealt with me whilst I’ve been at my most irritable.. ;) And, of course, for providing invaluable feedback on it - special thanks must go to igi for compiling the list of mods for SConrad’s addition!!
I hope you enjoy the new system as much as I do… ;) Expect some further announcements concerning SHS in the future!
In the meantime, go check it out! :)
