Originally a mod for easyTuTu by Macready, Ascension64 has ported Hard Times to the BGT platform!
“One thing that’s always bothered me about Baldur’s Gate is that even with everything that’s going on within the game, the Sword Coast region doesn’t really feel like it’s in crisis. Sure, all of the commoners and townsfolk talk a good game about iron shortages and the like, but any time that you walk into a store, metal gear can be had for very reasonable prices. Even magical items are readily purchased in stores! And the problem of ubiquitous magic equipment is exacerbated by all of the freebies that the game throws at you early on (now made obvious by Throne of Bhaal’s TAB key highlighting). You are supposed to feel like a sheltered kid thrust suddenly into a hostile world with only the clothes on his or her back, but with the easily obtainable “presents” to be had early in the going, you are empowered to afford the finer things in life before you’ve even reached the Friendly Arm for the first time.”
All BGT related support must be posted in the BGT forum.

With thanks to ilot, Shed’s NPC Yikari has received an Italian translation!
Yikari is a NPC for BG2 - SoA (ToB required). He is a monk from Kara-Tur and can be found in the Temple District in Athkatla. He is Lawful Neutral, highly wise, but not all that intelligent. He knows he’s a perfectly competent fighter, but doesn’t pick fights with other NPCs. He is used to a chain of command, and will accept the PC’s decisions without much trouble. Yikari tries not to anger anyone, but he’s no walkover. He just is so efficient that he never get into a fight if he doesn’t have to. He often tries teaching NPCs the benefits of self-control, and all the stuff he learnt in his monastery. He is a visitor to the sword coast and many things seem strange to him. He cannot help regarding everyone (except Yoshimo) as foreigners.

In furtherance of some suggestions made by a number of modders here at SHS, we’ve deprecated the Infinity Xplorer 2008 forum into the larger IE Modding Tools forum, as well as created a new download category in the download manager for tools. Much like Miscellaneous Mods, any member can upload tools to the category. You can find the forum here, and the download category here.
I’d also like to point out that Miloch has released a tool called the “BAM Batcher”, created to make the process of creating and organising BAMs simpler. It is a very useful tool, so if you’re interested in BAM creation, go check it out!
Finally, I’ve added [Downloads] links to the Misc Mods, IE Modding Tools and Mod Resurrections forum descriptions for ease of downloading.
Cheers!

After some hard work on Miloch’s part, Aurora’s Shoes and Boots has been released. Packed with much more content than originally envisioned, Aurora’s Shoes and Boots is definitely a mod worth checking out!
Have you ever wished that Athkatla were a little livelier? Ever wanted to know just what Lord and Lady Ophal got up to in their spare time? Wished that the shopkeepers had more than two lines apiece? Had lives of their own?
Ever wished you could buy some Boots of Speed looked a bit more, well, dashing? Thought about buying Imoen some pink boots of stealth? Wanted to use the Stinking Cloud that must form around your travelers for some truly *useful* purpose?
Waste no more time on wishing!
Now that Aurora is here, you can have all these things and more!
Aurora’s Shoe Shop introduces more than a dozen new pairs of boots that are both useful and stylish. In addition, Aurora herself is there to add a bit of spice to Athkatlan life. She’ll chat with you about nobles and commoners alike, providing exciting (if not always accurate) information about their daily lives.
Aurora’s Shoes and Boots also adds Tomthal and Karaea, Aurora’s assistants, and a number of items that can be found randomly throughout the game, among other things!
