Ghostdog’s PS:T UI Mod hits v2
Sunday, May 24, 2009

Ghostdog’s PS:T UI Mod is a User Interface modification which in combination with the bigg’s Widescreen Mod makes a number of widescreen resolutions much more viable for Planescape: Torment by changing a number of things in the UI.

The Widescreen mod works extremely well in Planescape: Torment, but unfortunately when you change the resolution, almost all of the UI elements and game effects are shown in the top-left area since they were set for the original 640x480 game resolution. What this mod does is center all of these elements and enhance the UI with original game art to fit nicely with various widescreen resolutions, including 1280x800, 1280x768, 1280x720 and now 1280x1024.

The key points of the release are that now the mod has 1280x720 support and that the bigger fonts that are available have been improved. For the rest of the changes, see the changelog.

Fading Promises v2 Released
Sunday, May 17, 2009

berelinde has just updated her quest mod “Fading Promises” to v2, including a Spanish translation, a number of bugfixes and a few typo fixes.

Ever wondered what it was like to be tied to life - forever? Aidan knows.

Help him regain his honor, and you might even help him remember what it was to be human.

Fading Promises introduces Aidan, a fallen paladin of Amaunator, who has a couple problems. One of them is that he’s dead. Another is that he never completed his last quest. You can’t help him with the first, but he would be very grateful for your assistance with the second. Who knows? You might even give him the courage to face the judgment he has so long avoided.

More dwarven goodness
In leather armour, in chail mail, and perhaps soon to be in plate mail, your jaws will drop and your eyes open wide as Erephine continues her episodes of One Pixel Productions dwarven makeover. Catch their leather sexiness here and their chain mail bling here.

Once upon a time in a land far, far away...
Their was a Fairy Dragon modification. It was so frustrated that it could not communicate with Le Chateau that it decided to learn a crash course in French, and here is version 6 boasting a French translation! Grab it here.

Bigot + Tutu = Works
Now to make a Rod of Refuge that actually works, Konalan just fixes the modification. Simple as that. Grab it here, no questions asked.

Hummmmmmmm, bo hummmmmm
A wim oh weh. Put on your chanter’s persona with this bardic priest kit modification, Chanter, prepared by Adul. It is meant to fit well into the start of Baldur’s Gate I. So, join in with the Voices by grabbing this modification here. Since North, South, East, and West are all taken, you’ll fill in that you are the Voice of the ___

Scratch fighting training for the unarmed
Learn the mystical art of scratch fighting with Adul’s Unarmed Adjustments. This modification makes monk’s fists magical from level 6 instead of level 9, great for a BGT or Tutu game, and/or modifies werewolf attacks. With these changes, no girl will ever scratch you again! What are you waiting for? Grab the modification here.

A final word for this month, as next fortnight this digest’s drafts were, well… digested, and thus no news will be posted. That final word is: ENJOY!

Rogue Rebalancing v4.1 and aTweaks v2.5 Released
Tuesday, April 21, 2009
Posted by K'aeloree in General News

Introduction

The Rogue Rebalancing mod is a gameplay modification for Baldur’s Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal which strives to bring Bards and Thieves closer to their Pen and Paper AD&D counterparts. aTweaks represents a compilation of PnP related tweaks and various house rules which are designed to bring more consistency to the gameplay. Both mods works on normal Baldur’s Gate II games as well as either of the two Baldur’s Gate conversion projects: (Easy)Tutu and Baldur’s Gate Trilogy (BGT). They are divided into multiple components which can be installed separately and are completely independent of each other.

New in Rogue Rebalancing v4.1

This minor release alters the Alchemy and Scribe Scrolls HLAs in order to make them more customizable. Characters using these abilities can now choose which potion/scroll they wish to create. Furthermore, this update gives characters a chance to talk their way out of trouble after failing to steal an item from a store. The new dialogue options which make that possible are dependant on the character’s mental attributes. New in aTweaks v2.5
This minor release adds three additional components to the “PnP Tweaks” group: “Restore innate disease immunity to Paladins”, “Additional racial traits for Dwarves” and “Additional racial traits for Gnomes”. In summary, these components restore several PnP gameplay elements which were missing from the unmodded game.
