For the final day of 12, we have a big surprise for all you romance fans, but before that, a quick maintenance release!

v3 of the Yoshimo Friendship adds a Polish translation as well as a number of bugfixes. Thanks to prowler and Lava Del’Vortel!

The Yoshimo Friendship mod adds a series of dialogues with Yoshimo, our favourite charming knave whom we meet in Irenicus Chateau at the beginning of the game. Spanning the length of the time he’s in the party, the Yoshimo Friendship expands on the humorous rogue, adding to his story and giving the player a new perspective on the character. Written by Shadowhawke, author of many popular BGII fanfiction stories and contributor to the Khadion NPC mod, the Yoshimo friendship is a must-install for anyone with a fondness for the character!

Notorious modder the bigg has released updates for four of his mods!

tb#tweaks:
New component added, allowing thieves to backstab from the front of the enemy. It requires TobEx to function properly.
Brought German and Russian translations up to date.
Assorted bug fixes.
Upgrade is save-safe if done from 2.40 and is only recommended if you’re interested in the new component and/or the fixed translations.

tb#characters:
New character added (the Heavy Weapons Guy from Team Fortress 2).
Upgrade is save-safe and is only recommended if you’re interested in the new character.

generalized_biffing:
Fixed a bug that was preventing some files (notably from Infinity Animations) from being biffed.
Upgrade is save-safe and is only recommended if you’re upgrading other mods in the mean time.

refinements:
Fixed a scripting typo that was causing compatibility problems.
Upgrade is save-safe only if done from 3.24 and recommended to all players.

A new portrait pack has been added to SHS’ Custom Content section. Previous SHS Staff member Ilmatar, artist extraordinaire, once began an ambitious project to paint new portraits for all of the BGII NPCs. Sadly she only completed nine, but with her permission Lava Del’Vortel has packaged and released these portraits for BG1, TuTu, BGT, BGII and ToB!

Beyond the Law, Hidden Kits and Spellhold Gauntlet creator Zyraen is at it once again, releasing his new kit the Conductor, a new bard kit for BGII!

Every Conductor sparks a most enchanting charm that they use to electrify their audiences in every sense of the word. Just through their performances, Conductors can channel electricity and possibly even set alight all those who incur their wrath, and their mastery of Electrical and Lightning spells is unparalleled even when compared against Mages.

However, their limitations are many. Their art requires use of small single-handed weapons, the proper timing means they may not be quick on their feet while performing, and since their calling is to be the centre of attention, a Conductor can never use invisibility of any sort.
